Lollapalloza 2009

Well the weekend has come and went and so did the weather! On friday it rained the entire day, then on sat it was a blistering 95 (HOT for Chicago) then by Sunday it was at a head index of 103 for most of the day!

Enough about the weather, the concert was a blast I was able to see 99% of the bands I wanted to see. Some bands were playing at the same time so that made it impossible to watch one. I was told before the shows started to pick a band and stay because if you left to go see the other band by the time you got there they would be done.

Day 2 started off early in the morning with a nice relaxing time in the hammocks that were set up by Q101, thx guys! Christine and I stayed there for almost 2 hrs and could hear the bands playing. Once we finally decided to get up the clouds had rolled in and really helped in blocking the sun although it was still really hot!

Day 3: We woke up to an unbelievable amount of heat and humidity, it felt like I was back in Atlanta..lol This was the hottest day of the year here and the news was saying it would be the hottest day for the rest of the year! After reviewing the weather and the bands that were playing we decided it would be best not to get to Lolla too soon. Instead Christine went to a dog show/fest and I waited till 2pm until I went to the show. Upon getting there it was so hot that they were giving away the waters that they were charging for earlier in the weekend. I luckally had a backpack full of ice and water (thx camelpak!)

While Snoop was playing we went to the stage near by and waited to watch Silversun Pickups. We could still hear Snoop playing from where we were sitting.
